Saké nestled between historic sandstone walls in the Arygle Precinct at The Rocks is one of the best Jap restaurants in Sydney, and certainly my fave so far.
Saké's sushi bandanna-wearing guru, Shaun Presland (awarded a chef hat by SMH Good Food Guide 2012) was formerly a chef at Sushi E, Nobu and Teppanyaki, and he's also a regular on Masterchef.
We were invited for dinner at Saké as a friend used to work at the restaurant. We were fed, made to feel right at home with complimentary dishes, we felt very pampered. I can happily spend all night playing this game! ;P
We tried almost EVERYTHING!
For me the standout winners were the Wagyu New Style
Oi-shii!
Seriously juicy, tender, flavourful, meaty, sweet, tangy and salty.
Accompanied with home-made brewed soy sauce and wasabi.
This dish is the holy grail for all salad dodgers.
Atmosphere, food and service this resto has it all. A great place to take a date, family or friends.
