Sushi

Konnichiwa! ;D How was your weekend? The weather has been incredibly good so far, we decided to take advantage of the good weather and head to the beach ;)

Growing up, I was a big fan of Japanese food. Apart from the usual suspects that I like to order at a Jap resto, edamame, gyoza, ramen etc I heart sushi. In my humble opinion, it's a healthy and convenient option for a quick lunch/dinner.

Originally, sushi was a term used for preservation of fermented fish/meat. Rice was stuffed inside the fish which helped the fermentation process. Eventually, sushi that we know today using vinegar and rice began to evolve and the vinegar rice helped the raw fish from going bad too quickly.

My bro & frenchie loves chicken schnitz avo roll and my personal fav. aburi salmon. So, I made some sushi over the weekend for the boys - thankfully they enjoyed the food and no one got food poisoning ;P

Prepping the chicken schnitz - dip chicken in beaten eggs and coat with bread crumbs (imp to tenderize the meat using a meat pounder)
My version of California roll - Crabstick, Tamago seasoning, Mayo, Cucumber, Caviar, Avocado
Chicken Avocado - Sliced Chicken Schnitzel, Avocado, Mayo
Assorted Nigiri Sushi
California, Chick Avo, Inari, Nigiri
Kura inspired - Chicken schnitz w jap curry
